This the season to be jolly!

Merry Christmas Everybody! :) 

On a lovely 14th December afternoon, NVAC@NUH held our annual Christmas Event! 

Thank you all volunteers who came down and made this event possible. For the regular volunteers who could not make it, here's an update on what happened!

Activities included:

Christmas Carolling... Handicraft such as drawing/colouring/origami ... Giving our small Christmas Notes 

Thank you volunteers for the small notes you have written for the patients:) 

We also really appreciate your kind feedback on what could have been done better. We have noted down these details to help us better organise subsequent events like CNY which will be held next semester. Have a great Christmas and holiday season everyone, and hope that you continue to spread joy and laughter to those around you:)

26th September was our very first time meeting our new volunteers! Thank you all who made the effort to join us for orientation even though it was recess week.

Hope everyone who came had a great time! Even though we had to squeeze in a small room for our games because of the very bad haze outside, we hope it helped brought everyone closer together. Take care and hope all our new volunteers have a very rewarding volunteering experience at NVAC@NUH!

What we've been up to:

Dear volunteers,

Welcome (back) to a new semester of volunteering. We look forward to seeing you when the sessions commence this week! 

For those who are curious, we held two main events between the end of last sem and the beginning of this sem's Week 5. Can you guess what they are?

1. Our annual Christmas event! To those who joined us, thank you! We experienced the joy of giving as we went carolling from ward to ward and wished the patients and their families a merry christmas. Not to forget our little handmade gifts which were felt coin pouches! Do join us this year :) 

2. Our biannual orientation for the volunteers! This meant a time of getting-to-know-yous, games and initiation into the NVAC@NUH community! Fret not if you've missed this orientation, you can always join in on the next one coming up next sem :)

A New Year of Volunteering- Semester 1 AY14/15

On 30 August 2014, NVAC@NUH organized an orientation session in the afternoon to welcome our new volunteers! The short but fun 3 hours of orientation included ice-breakers, safety briefings, role-playing and division games. 

Fret not if you've missed out on the fun, check out the pictures below for the infectious fun and joy shared between the volunteers and the committee! :)

The event would not have been possible without the participation of our volunteers! NVAC@NUH would like to specially thank the volunteers for freeing up some time in their Saturday to join us. All our 'blood', 'sweat' and 'tears' that went into making the event eventually paid off :')
